The Covid pandemic has seen the personal liberties, rights, and dignity of many around the world being infringed upon relentlessly by governments in a multitude of ways that not even three years ago we would have called outrageous. Despite this, outrage from those on the Right has not extended far beyond online outcry and politically insignificant protest. In fact, it is only now, nearly two years after the beginning of the pandemic, that we are starting to see the mobilisation of significant global protests as people begin to stand up in defence of what’s been taken from us.
