Much fun is poked at Swindon, the home of lotuseaters.com. Perhaps rightly so. It fits the mould of the Great British ‘sh*thole'—a corporate commuter hub of cookie-cutter housing estates and business parks, disunited by venous dual carriageways all heading straight to the M4. In recent months, the town centre has been overrun by dinghy-borne vagrants. Their loitering near crumbling buildings and high-street budget stores has all but surpassed that of the alcoholic, drug-addled underclass.
