When one hears the word “zombies,” popular culture compels us to visualise at least one of two things: a hoard of undead, flesh eating cannibals, or a hoard of braindead ‘groupthinkers’ commonly defined by their inability to act outside of the dominant social matrix (“the current thing”). The type of zombies I’m talking about, however, come from an interpretation of reality far more unnerving than either of these. They are known as “philosophical zombies”, or “p-zombies”.
