The Tory Leadership Race Proves the Leftist Ideological Capture of Britain is Complete

One doesn’t have to be a scholar of military history to know that if you are going to fight a battle, it is unwise to allow the enemy to choose the terrain. The Battle of Austerlitz was not fought at Austerlitz by accident. In fact, as Beau and Carl covered recently in their Epochs series about the life of Napoleon, Boney went to a great deal of trouble to ensure the armies met at Austerlitz because the terrain suited him. As a result he won, convincingly.
The same applies to ideological battles and, if we judge the current left/right conflict going on in Britain by the terrain alone, it is clear the left are winning. This state of affairs is bad enough, but it is exacerbated by the fact that the notionally mainstream right in this country either doesn’t realise this is what is going on, or is willingly ceding the ground.
