There has been an increasing amount of chatter lately across the US about the prospect of a ‘national divorce’. It is admittedly a most unlikely topic that would have seemed like lunacy to most people if voiced publicly just a few years ago. But these days, amid the sheer insanity all around us and the absolute clown world that our reality has turned into, a lot of people are rethinking their basic assumptions about power, government, and society. There is an increasing sense that the political situation, as it stands, is fundamentally unsustainable, and that some radical restructuring needs to happen for some semblance of normality to return.
