Grimsby Paedophile Ordered To Take Eye Treatment To Prevent His Fantasies
A man with a “perverted interest in children” has been ordered to undergo special eye therapy with the aim of stopping his fantasies.
Grimsby Crown Court judge Ahmed Nadim ordered Antony Akid, 35, to undergo eye desensitisation therapy. Mr Akid’s sentence was deferred so that his response to the medical intervention can be assessed.
This is the second time in six-years that Mr Akid has been convicted for the possession of indecent images of children having been previously convicted in 2014 when he admitted to eight counts of possession and one count of distribution of indecent images. In 2014 he received a 12-month prison sentence which was suspended for two years.
Judge Nadim told Akid that he would have to pay for the treatment through the NHS or privately.
