Do You Believe Trans Women Are Women?

If you spend enough time on Twitter, you will inevitably be asked the question: “Are trans women women?”

This question obviously has nothing to do with how you treat trans people, whether you respect their pronouns, or hire them in your company. None of that matters. The only thing that is important is, "do you believe the correct thing?" If you do not believe the correct thing, you will be persecuted.

J.K. Rowling discovered this when she claimed men cannot have uteruses and apparently, according to an ACLU lawyer, by saying such a thing she was feeding a genocidal impulse and became a person to be ‘cancelled’.

But ‘cancel culture’ is an expression devoid of meaning, of substance. It is a plastic façade and fails to express what is actually happening in our society. Instead, there is a better word for it and that is ‘persecution’.

In modern society, people are persecuted for their thoughts and beliefs.

It is what a person believes that makes a person good or evil in the eyes of the mob. Actions do not matter for the most part.

This is why it is irrelevant if Kamala Haris has put black people in prison for smoking pot, or if Biden contributed to the war on drugs and tougher drug crime laws. All that matters is that they say and believe in the correct things, and the mob will forgive their actions.

Having been caught using blackface, an offence that would have gotten any other person persecuted, Justin Trudeau managed to escape the wrath of the progressive mob unharmed. Why? Presumably due to his devotion to the ‘cause’ being unquestionable.

This mindset is how you can have someone like John Kerry, a person rewarded for his activism to prevent climate change, to receive said award using a private jet.

To an environmentalist, his actions should seem comparable to that of a villain from the famous TV show Captain Planet. He may as well be choking Mother Gaya himself by locking her in a sealed garage and leaving the engine running. However, very few people are going to criticize Mister Kerry. This shows us that actions are not important in this view. As long as people say and believe in the correct things, almost anything is permissible.

At the other end of the spectrum, there are the evil Republicans next door who clear out the snow from your driveway, but deep inside they fail to believe in the progressive demands imposed upon them.

Reported in the LA Times, a journalist describes how her neighbour, who happens to be a Trump supporter, did her a favour by plowing the snow from in front of her house. The author admits that she is actually very thankful for this gesture and deep inside appreciates that people are willing to perform acts o kindness for her. However, this does not stop her from comparing her fellow citizens with members of Hezbollah and white supremacist groups. For, you see, they too are capable of doing nice deeds as a cover for their monstrous ideology.

In other words, no action that a Trump supporter can or ever will do will make him a good person, because he is guilty of believing the incorrect things.

In the past, we used to judge people based on their deeds. While certain people performed deeds out of pure cynicism, such as a corporation donating to the poor in order to gain good PR with the public, the fact remained that the poor would get fed that night and some net good could be observed in society.

Today, the acts are meaningless, and all that matters is appearances. As long as a company remembers to add an LGBT rainbow to their logo during pride month, and panders to <insert minority group here>, they will be praised by the ‘woke’ mob.

All Amazon has to do to be a good company is to support transgender bathrooms publicly. It doesn't matter that behind closed doors their warehouse employees will have to urinate in bottles due to their company policies.

So, do you believe Trans women are women? The question is very important. It is the necessary benchmark for the progressive to place you in a box. If you answered correctly, it concludes that you are the type of person who values the ‘social good’ above that of what your senses tell you. You are willing to discard everything you’ve learned and experienced growing up in order to be part of a greater good and improve society. You can then be concerned more about what people say than what their actions dictate. It means that there is a place for you in the mob.

However, if you answered incorrectly, then you can join the ranks of J.K. Rowling and other members of society that the mob has to attack because it's the only way those in the mob can feel virtuous about themselves.
