Interview with Stefan Schubert: 2016 Berlin Christmas Market Massacre


Carl interviews Stefan Schubert of KOPP Report about the 2016 truck attack in West Berlin.

On 19 December 2016, unsuccessful Tunisian asylum seeker Anis Amri hijacked a truck in west Berlin after shooting its driver. He proceeded to drive the vehicle through the crowded Berlin Christmas market, killing additional 11 people and injuring dozens more.

On the site of the attack, Carl Benjamin talks with Stefan Schubert about the events both during and leading up to the massacre. Stefan Schubert of KOPP Report is considered an expert on the subject and has published a book on his research on the events surrounding the attack, its perpetrator, and how authorities allowed this to happen, titled "Anis Amri und die Bundesregierung" (Anis Amri and the Federal Government).
